Bijago

The Bijago are an island people inhabiting the Bijagos Archipelago of Guinea-Bissau. They speak a West Atlantic language in the Niger-Congo family. The Bijago are known for their zoomorphic masks, often depicting cattle but also sharks and sawfish.
